Binghamton, New York - April 7th, 2022: A lover and supporter of the arts especially the opera, Karleen Leveille will make her debut appearance in Syracuse’s Opera and Tri-Cities’ Opera first endeavor at co-producing Rossini’s Cinderella for Central New York and the Southern Tier. Karleen will serve as a Supernumerary (super) where she will act and improvise on stage as an extra in various scenes.
“I have always enjoyed the opera and to perform in one where I will be fully immersed with talented performers is beyond my wildest dreams. I’m also excited to be pushed outside my creative comfort zone where I can develop my improvisational and strengthen my performance abilities. Through this experience, I will be better suited for seasoned roles and am glad that I can lay down that foundation because of Tri-Cities opera. I’m extremely honored that I was invited to participate.”
In addition to her role; Karleen will participate in promotional activities including a social media takeover of Tri-Cities Instagram and a behind-the-scenes look on her social media platforms.
Rossini’s La Cenerentola (Cinderella) will first entertain audiences at the Forum Theatre in Binghamton on April 10, 2022 and then be remounted at the Oncenter’s Crouse Hinds theater in Syracuse on May 1, 2022. Karleen will appear in both performances.
